Biography

Dr. Camilo E. Gutierrez is a globally recognized expert in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) and acute care systems development, with a specific focus on improving emergency care for children in resource-limited settings. As the Director of Global Health Programs at the Division of Emergency Medicine at Children's National Hospital, Dr. Gutierrez leads initiatives that strengthen pediatric emergency care systems worldwide. His work involves developing pediatric acute care systems across local, national, and regional levels globally, particularly in areas where such services are limited or lacking.

Dr. Gutierrez's work in global health is centered on building sustainable health systems, training healthcare professionals, and providing leadership in emergency medicine at the international level.
